Great
The Tecla Sala Art Center is a space dedicated to the creation and dissemination of the visual arts through exhibitions, productions and other cultural activities.
It occupies an old textile factory site acquired by the L'Hospitalet City Council in 1986, which - after remodeling and redeveloping it - inaugurated the library in 2000 and the exhibition halls in 2002.
It is named "TECLA SALA" in honor of the textile businesswoman of the same name, who carried out her industrial activity from 1913 to 1973 in the area.
Apart from the Library and the Exhibition Halls (which occupy two floors) other associations and entities occupy the space, such as the TPK (Taller de Pubilla.Casas) which has occupied the old warehouses since 2001, the Arranz-Bravo Foundation (since 2009 ) and the Center d'Estudis de L'Hospitalet.
As its title suggests, the exhibition 'Neither flyers nor posters. 25 years of image Sónar' takes an experiential tour in a multi-installation format through the image of this electronic music festival during its first quarter of a century.
The exhibition, not at all conventional, is nourished by videos, installations, sculptures, documentation and photographs, through a selection of more than 50 iconic pieces from the festival distributed in ten rooms. A historical tour, but not ordered chronologically or thematically.
The exhibition, a creation by Sergio Caballero, co-director of Sónar and creator of the graphic image, stars the famous ghosts of 2010, the twins of 2006, Maradona in 2002 or, in 1997, and the parents of the festival organizers themselves, among others.
An exhibition that highlights the work done over these 25 years, but also seeks answers. Throughout the journey, for example, the artist presents some questions: why does a work of art have the value it does? And what are the traits that define it?
Twisted papers by Daniel Giralt Look at it. Excellent selection, good reception and explanation.
We went to a catering contracted for cava service and we had excellent treatment from the director of the entity. Thank you. As a visitor we can affirm that it is a gallery with an unbeatable taste of the works on display. With spaces that flatter what the rooms house. Thanks again
Good exhibition by Gino Rubert, very complete with Rubert's best works
